First Aid Course

April 19 - April 20

This two-evening course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether dinghy sailing, coaching, cruising or cross channel passages. The course is suitable for all dinghy or powerboat instructors, it is MCA approved and satisfies the requirements for coastal skipper, yachtmaster and advanced powerboat certificates of competence and some commercial work afloat.

The course is normally run over two evenings starting at 18:30 till 22:00 and will be located in Lobster Quay clubhouse. It is a practical course and will require you to get up and down from the floor and to answer questions.

Candidates will receive a copy of the latest RYA First Aid Handbook and on completion an RYA certificate.

Please apply though the Members Portal, select the Calendar and filter by Training. Click book.

Strict CoVID compliance regulations are in place to enable training courses to proceed. You are required to wear a face mask and not to eat or drink in the training room. Windows and doors will be open to increase the flow of air, so please wrap up warmly.

Whilst we expect to run this course given the current CoVID restrictions that they may change making it impossible to run the course. If this occurs we will endeavour to run another course as soon as possible or provide a refund.
