Powerboat Level 2 (PB2)

This course will introduce the newcomer to handling a fast planning power boat, including, boat and pre launch checks, basic powerboat handling skills at both low and planning speed and how to plan a short coastal passage. This course is the minim level required to drive a club powerboat. Training and assessment is generally carried out in the fast planning rigid-hull inflatable boats (RHIB. All participants must supply a passport sized photograph at the start of the course. Anyone successfully completing the course will receive the RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) certificate.

Direct assessments examinations can be conducted for experienced powerboat drivers and for those requiring an international certificate of competence (ICC). A written assessment is required for this course, please email the training team for more details.
